Portraits - what to expect
1. Before your session
Once your session is booked, I’ll be in touch to confirm the details and help you feel prepared.
If you’d like advice on location, timing, or what to wear, I’m always happy to guide you. The aim is to keep things simple, relaxed, and tailored to you.
2. On the day
When we meet, we’ll take a few minutes to chat and ease into the session.
I’ll guide you gently throughout, focusing on natural movement and genuine moments rather than stiff poses. Whether we’re outdoors or at home, the session is designed to feel calm and enjoyable.
3. After your session
Your images will be carefully edited and presented in a private online gallery within 2–3 weeks.
From there, you can choose the images included in your package and, if you wish, select additional digital images or professional prints.

Essential Session
£95
Perfect for individuals, couples, maternity, or those visiting the area who’d love a few beautiful images without a longer session.
A relaxed, lightly guided session focusing on natural portraits and simple moments. Ideal if you’re after a small collection of meaningful images.
This session includes:
- A short, relaxed photo session
- 3 fully edited digital images
- Online gallery to view and choose your images
- Option to purchase additional images if you wish
Signature Session
£140
My most popular option, offering time to slow down, settle in, and capture natural connections.
This session works beautifully for families, couples, or lifestyle portraits where a little more space allows moments to unfold naturally, without feeling rushed.
This session includes:
- A relaxed, unhurried photo session
- 5 fully edited digital images
- Online gallery for image selection
- Option to upgrade to additional digital collections
Storytelling Session
£180
Designed for those who want a fuller experience and a richer collection of images.
With time for movement, interaction, and variety, this session is ideal for larger families or anyone wanting a more detailed visual story.
This session includes:
- A slower-paced, storytelling-focused session
- 10 fully edited digital images
- 1 × 5×7" professional print
- Online gallery for viewing and selection
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if we’re not comfortable in front of the camera?
Most of the people I photograph say this before their session — and it’s completely normal.
My approach is relaxed and gently guided, with no stiff posing or pressure to perform. I’ll help you with where to stand, what to do with your hands, and how to move naturally, so you can simply enjoy the experience.
What should we wear for our session?
Once your session is booked, I’m happy to offer guidance on what to wear, including colour palettes and outfit ideas that photograph beautifully and work well together.
Neutral tones, soft textures, and simple layers tend to work best, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourself.
What happens if the weather isn't great?
If we’re shooting outdoors and the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule or adjust plans where needed.
I keep a close eye on the forecast and will be in touch ahead of your session if any changes are needed. Overcast days can actually create beautifully soft, flattering light.
Can we include children and/or extended family?
Absolutely. Family sessions can be tailored to include children, grandparents, or extended family members.
If you’re planning to include a larger group, I’d recommend the Storytelling Session, which allows more time and flexibility to capture a variety of combinations without feeling rushed.
How do we choose our images?
After your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view your edited images at home.
From there, you can select the images included in your package and, if you wish, upgrade to additional digital images or a larger collection.
Do you offer prints or albums?
Yes! Professional prints and other keepsake products are available to order through your online gallery.
